**The Low End Blues** is inspired by A Tribe Called Quest and the visual world surrounding their landmark album *The Low End Theory*.

A meeting point between jazz and hip-hop.

And an unmistakable aesthetic that helped define 1990s hip-hop culture.

The original artwork reinterprets that iconic visual language entirely through fragments of vintage Japanese indigo-dyed boro fabric.

Each piece of fabric was individually cut, layered, and assembled by hand.

**No paint. No dye. Only fabric.**

Different shades of indigo, fading, scars, weaves, and imperfections become the colors themselves, forming the figure, silhouette, and distinctive patterns entirely through textile.

Vintage Japanese fabric carrying decades of history meets the cultural language of 1990s New York hip-hop.

Two different histories and cultures brought together in a single artwork.

This edition is a high-quality giclée art print created from the original textile artwork and printed on **Awa Washi Kozo**, a traditional Japanese paper made from kozo fiber.
