北斎が描いたその象徴的な“赤”を、本作ではあえて“藍”へと置き換えています。

**Crimson Dawn Over Fuji** reinterprets Katsushika Hokusai's *Fine Wind, Clear Morning* from the celebrated series *Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji* entirely through vintage Japanese indigo-dyed boro fabric.

In Hokusai's iconic image, Mount Fuji is transformed by the morning light into the celebrated “Red Fuji.”

In this work, that unmistakable red is deliberately replaced by indigo.

Rather than simply reproducing the original image, the work gives it a new material language through Japanese textiles carrying decades of their own history.
