**Storm Over Black Fuji** reinterprets Katsushika Hokusai's *Rainstorm Beneath the Summit* from the celebrated series *Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji* entirely through vintage Japanese indigo-dyed boro fabric.

Dark clouds gather above.
Lightning cuts across the mountainside.
Mount Fuji stands in shadow.

Rather than portraying the mountain in calm stillness, Hokusai captured a dramatic moment when the atmosphere suddenly changes.

That world is reconstructed not with paint, but with Japanese textiles carrying decades of their own history.

The original artwork was created by individually cutting, layering, and assembling fragments of vintage Japanese indigo fabric by hand.
