That emotional presence is reconstructed entirely through fragments of vintage Japanese indigo-dyed boro fabric.

The original artwork was created by individually cutting, layering, and assembling fragments of vintage indigo textiles by hand.

**No paint. No dye. Only fabric.**

Different shades of indigo, fading, scars, frayed edges, weaves, and imperfections become the colors themselves, creating the expression, hair, clothing, light, and shadow entirely through textile.
