This is not a mass-produced poster.

Inspired by The Notorious B.I.G., one of the most iconic figures in hip-hop history, **Ready to Dye** explores another unmistakable part of his visual legacy: bold, colorful knitwear and the larger-than-life style of 1990s hip-hop.

An image known for its explosion of color is deliberately reconstructed through a single world of blue.

Vintage Japanese indigo.

Two cultures from different places and different eras brought together in one artwork.

The original piece was created entirely from fragments of vintage Japanese indigo-dyed boro fabric.

Each piece of fabric was individually cut, layered, and assembled by hand.

**No paint. No dye. Only fabric.**

Different shades of indigo, fading, scars, weaves, and imperfections become the colors themselves, forming both the portrait and its complex patterns.

Textiles carrying decades of history meet the visual language of 1990s hip-hop culture.

The result is a reinterpretation of music, fashion, and cultural memory through traditional Japanese material.

This edition is a high-quality giclée art print created from the original textile artwork and printed on **Awa Washi Kozo**, a traditional Japanese paper made from kozo fiber.
