As one of the central figures of N.W.A, he helped bring the realities of the streets into popular culture with an uncompromising voice that left a lasting mark on hip-hop history.

That energy is reconstructed entirely through fragments of vintage Japanese indigo-dyed boro fabric.

The title **“Straight Outta Blue”** brings together a phrase inseparable from N.W.A’s cultural legacy with **Blue — the indigo that physically constructs the artwork.**

The original artwork was created by individually cutting, layering, and assembling fragments of vintage indigo textiles by hand.

**No paint. No dye. Only fabric.**

Different shades of indigo, fading, scars, frayed edges, weaves, and imperfections become the colors themselves, creating expression, shadow, texture, and presence entirely through textile.
