Asanoha Design – Indigo Radiance

本作は、日本の伝統文様「麻の葉」をモチーフに、藍染の古布を貼り合わせて構成した一点物のミニアートです。麻の葉文様は、健やかな成長や生命力の象徴として親しまれ、古来より衣服や建築装飾など幅広く用いられてきました。

藍染の端切れを一片ずつ丁寧に貼り合わせ、ペイントやプリントを使わずに藍そのものの濃淡と質感だけで模様を描き出しています。深い藍から明るい藍へと移ろうグラデーションは、光を受けて輝くような立体感を生み出し、静かな中にも生命のきらめきを感じさせます。

Asanoha Design – Indigo Radiance

This one-of-a-kind mini artwork reimagines the traditional Japanese Asanoha (hemp leaf) pattern through fragments of vintage indigo-dyed boro fabric. The Asanoha motif, symbolizing vitality and growth, has long been cherished as a protective and auspicious design in Japanese culture.

Each piece of indigo fabric was hand-applied without any paint or print, relying solely on the natural hues and textures of the cloth. The gradation from deep to light indigo creates a luminous sense of depth — as if the pattern itself is illuminated from within — evoking both serenity and quiet energy.
