Asanoha Design – Indigo Resonance

本作は、日本の伝統文様「麻の葉」をモチーフに、藍染の古布を用いて再構築した一点物のミニアートです。麻の葉文様は、生命力や成長、そして魔除けの象徴として古くから親しまれてきました。その均整の取れた幾何学模様は、自然の中に宿る秩序と調和を映し出しています。

藍染の端切れを一枚ずつ貼り合わせることで、ペイントやプリントを一切使わずに、藍そのものの濃淡や布の質感だけで文様を描き出しました。深い藍から淡い藍へのグラデーションが、静かな呼吸のように作品全体に響き合い、光と影のリズムを生み出しています。

Asanoha Design – Indigo Resonance

This one-of-a-kind mini artwork reimagines the traditional Japanese Asanoha (hemp leaf) pattern using fragments of vintage indigo-dyed boro fabric. The Asanoha motif, long cherished in Japan, symbolizes vitality, protection, and growth — its geometric balance reflecting the harmony found in nature.

Each piece of indigo fabric was carefully hand-applied without any paint or print, relying solely on the natural texture and tonal depth of the cloth itself. The gradient from deep to light indigo creates a quiet rhythm across the surface — a resonance between shadow and light, structure and softness.

An NFT (non-fungible token) accompanies this work, providing verifiable digital authentication and ownership. Instead of a physical signature or paper certificate, the blockchain serves as a lasting record of the artist and provenance.
